Curriculum
A range of teaching and learning techniques are used including the use of interactive activities, which combine the excitement of computer games with the serious task of learning to read, spell or solve maths problems.

All primary lessons include stimulating starter activities using educational games that have been carefully selected to stimulate mental development. All lessons are linked to the National Curriculum objectives and the National Literacy and Numeracy Strategies.

At GCSE and A Level, study sessions will be personalised to cover the topics and meet the levels of individual students. We also offer practical advice on how to say motivated, homework and exam techniques.

Students aged 5 – 10 years will be able to:

  • Improve performance in KS 1 and 2 SATs
  • Strengthen early literacy and numeracy skills
  • Sit practise 11+ Entrance Exams for entry to Grammar Schools such King Edwards, Queen Mary’s, The Academy

Students aged 11 – 16 years will be able to:

  • Improve literacy and numeracy skills required for secondary education
  • Increase performance in KS3 SATs
  • Prepare for GCSE Science / Biology
  • Catch up on missed work due to long term absence from school

Post 16 students can:

  • Receive tuition and exam practice in all modules of the AS /A2 Biology courses
  • Adult tuition in Reading, Writing and Maths
Students with SEN and Dyslexia welcomed | Accelerated learning techniques and revision strategies

Preparation for 11+ Entrance Exams

A recent article in the Times Educational Supplement showed that the average student applying for a place at a Grammar or Independent School began preparation by being tutored as soon as they entered Year 5. High competition for places and a desire to get children to the best Universities has led to parents making these decisions.

Guidance on Primary and Secondary School Admissions
